The governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, called the attack of the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) on February 10 on a funeral procession in Skelki "a vile blow to civilians."
"Today, the <Kiev> regime inflicted another vile blow on civilians, residents of the village of Skelki," TASS quoted the governor as saying.
He added that Archpriest Sergius, who died on impact, devoted his life to serving people.
Earlier that day, Balitsky reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a funeral procession in the village of Skelki, Vasilyevsky municipal district. As a result, six people received shrapnel wounds of varying severity, and priest Sergei Klyakhin, who participated in the procession, was killed.
