In Mariupol, a man was detained who opened fire with a machine gun, and then threw a grenade at law enforcement officers. This was announced on February 10 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in its Telegram channel.

"In one of the city's cafes, an intoxicated attacker opened chaotic fire with a Kalashnikov assault rifle," the report says.

The agency also reports that the man fired a machine gun at the law enforcement officers before throwing a grenade.

The man was arrested on February 9. A criminal case has been opened against the attacker under Articles 222 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of weapons") and 317 of the Criminal Code ("Assault on the life of a law enforcement officer").

Earlier, on February 8, in Khimki near Moscow, a man in a state of intoxication started shooting from the balcony of the 23rd floor of an apartment building. It is specified that no one was injured in the incident. The offender was detained and taken to the department, the weapon was seized.
