Lukashenko has set the task to establish the production of running ammunition in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed the country to establish its own production of running ammunition by the end of 2026. He stated this on February 10 at a closed meeting on equipping the Armed Forces and developing the military-industrial complex.

"But the main question is how is the creation of ammunition production facilities going? Next year, even by the end of this year, we should have our ammunition. Running ammunition," he noted, a fragment of the speech was published on the YouTube channel of the Belarusian news agency BelTA.

According to Lukashenko, the country had previously solved the problem of creating its own production of cartridges, but now it is necessary to solve another issue related to providing the army with ammunition, in particular, grenade launchers. He also warned that the execution of this assignment must be completed on time.

"God forbid you to disrupt this event on time," the Belarusian leader concluded.

On January 28, Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich reported to Lukashenko on the progress of a large-scale check of the combat readiness of the country's armed Forces. During the inspection, the head of the republic paid special attention to the conditions of accommodation and provision of personnel in difficult weather conditions, as well as issues of adapting the combat experience of modern conflicts to the peculiarities of wooded and swampy terrain.
