Honored Lawyer of Russia Henry Padva died at the age of 94.
Honored Lawyer of Russia Genrikh Padva, who defended Mikhail Khodorkovsky, an entrepreneur and former head of Yukos Corporation (recognized as a foreign agent and included in the list of extremists and terrorists in the Russian Federation), died at the age of 94. This was announced on February 10 by lawyer Maxim Pashkov.
"We have a lot of grief in the corporation. Henry Pavlovich Padva. 02/20/1931–02/09/2026," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.
Padva was born in Moscow in 1931. He started his professional career at the Kalinin Regional Bar Association. Later, he was the vice-president of the Union of Lawyers of the USSR, and then the International Union (Commonwealth) of Lawyers. In addition, he was a lawyer at the Moscow Bar Association.
Padva's clients included businessman Alisher Usmanov, former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, as well as actor Vladislav Galkin and many other famous personalities.
