More than 60% of Britons expressed the opinion that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will step down before the end of the year. This became known on February 9 from research conducted by YouGov.

The survey showed that 63% of British citizens believe that Starmer will not hold on to the post of prime minister until the end of the year.

According to the survey, only 18% have a positive attitude towards the head of government, while 17% of Britons remain neutral.

Bloomberg reported on February 9 that Starmer may leave his post after the resignation of his chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, amid the scandal surrounding the appointment of financier Jeffrey Epstein's friend Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the United States. One of the assistants to the minister of the Starmer cabinet said that the chances that the British prime minister will hold out until the end of the week are 50-50.
