- Kotyakov urged to learn how to interact with zoomers and not judge them by stereotypes.
The prevailing stereotypes about buzzer employees, who were born approximately in the period from 1997 to the 2010s, should not affect their perception by the employer. It is important to create favorable conditions for young workers and to learn how to interact with them. This was announced on February 10 by Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
"The theory of generations must be taken into account from the point of view of building relationships between people...> It is important to create an atmosphere that matches the mood of the guys. As for stereotypes, it seems to me that we have no right to form estimates of one or another age group, allegedly guided by the theory of generations," he said in an interview with Expert magazine.
Kotyakov expressed disagreement with the prevailing opinion that representatives of the so-called "generation Z" are characterized by infantilism. According to him, such people were simply brought up in certain conditions, which influenced not only the process of forming their values, but also their existing worldview.
As Kotyakov pointed out, first of all, an individual's attitude to work is formed in the family. In addition, this fact is influenced by the environment and the information field in which a particular person exists. He urged not to row all the zoomers under one comb, as, according to his information, most of them are hardworking.
"I can say from our ministry that we have a lot of young people and most of them work 24/7. Let's say I can leave my comments on a document on Saturday morning, and receive an adjusted version on Sunday afternoon," the minister summed up.
On October 3, 2025, Irina Shulzhenko, Chief Manager of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, gave zoomers who do not yet have work experience tips on self-presentation when applying for employment. According to her, young job seekers often underestimate their potential, forgetting that companies are looking not only for experience, but also for motivation, flexibility, learning ability and sincere interest in business. Therefore, the specialist recommended that you include data on course and project work in your resume, as well as describe skills and personal qualities there.
