Russians have bought a record number of used electric cars
By the end of 2025, Russians purchased 15.2 thousand used electric cars. This is a record result in the entire history of market observations, the analytical agency Autostat reported on February 9. According to him, sales of used electric vehicles increased by 24% compared to 2025.
Nissan remains the leader in the brand rating (5.2 thousand used electric cars), the share of this brand accounted for more than a third (34.4%) of the total market.
Almost every seventh (14.5%) used electric car purchased last year belongs to the Chinese brand Zeekr (2.2 thousand units). Tesla also entered the top three (1.8 thousand units). These three brands account for more than 60% of the market in the segment.
According to analysts, in Russia, over 80 different brands were present on the secondary market of electric vehicles in 2025. For comparison, in 2023 there were about 60 of them, in 2022 — about 50, and in 2021 — less than 35.
Among the models, the Nissan Leaf remained the bestseller (5.1 thousand units). The Zeekr 001 and Tesla Model 3 were also among the three most popular (1.5 thousand and 0.8 thousand units, respectively).
Earlier, on January 19, it was reported that by the end of 2025, 12.5 thousand new passenger electric vehicles were registered in Russia, which is 30% less than in 2024, when 17.8 thousand such cars were sold. The current volume was even lower than in 2023 (14.1 thousand units).
