The expert warned about the risk of losing savings
Due to the decrease in the interest rate on deposits, residents of Russia began to look for new high-yield instruments, one of which is investments in cryptocurrency. Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told the Prime agency about the risks associated with fraud in this market.
"Cryptocurrency advertising is usually supported by numerous success stories of traders, but no one, as a rule, warns about the associated risks and new fraudulent schemes," Khaminsky noted.
A person can get into a pyramid scheme without knowing it, simply by going to fake sites. In this case, the result of investing in cryptocurrency is always the loss of all funds and the inability to get them back.
In this regard, the expert called for paying attention to the prevention of such offenses in the form of legal education and information about such crimes.
On January 30, Russia proposed introducing an indexed ruble. You can divide money into a means of payment and circulation (ordinary rubles), as well as those that are needed for exchange and accumulation (indexed). The latter will be linked to a basket of exchange-traded goods.
