France and Ukraine have agreed to cooperate in the development and implementation of innovative defense solutions, including unmanned aerial vehicles and data processing systems. The corresponding letter of intent was signed on February 8, French Minister of the Armed Forces Catherine Vautrin said on the social network X.

"I have signed a letter of intent with my colleague [Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov] on the joint development and implementation of innovative defense solutions, in particular in the field of drones and data processing," said the head of the French military department.

According to her, during the visit she also visited a factory in Ukraine for the production of combat drones. Vautrin was accompanied by high-ranking French military personnel, including Vice Admiral Jacques Fayard.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on February 6 that Canada intends to transfer AIM missiles to Kiev to strengthen the air defense system and counter cruise missiles. The ministry noted that during the meeting of the Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and Canada, prospects for further defense cooperation were discussed. A draft agreement on the joint production of drones was also considered. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kiev is interested in industrial cooperation and integration with Canadian companies in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) control.
