Ambassador Gonchar said that the EU population is preparing for a conflict with Russia

The accelerated militarization of Europe is accompanied by the preparation of the population of the EU countries for a possible armed conflict with Russia. This was announced on February 7 by Russian Ambassador to Belgium Denis Gonchar on the occasion of Diplomatic Worker's Day.

"Europe is rapidly militarizing, the economy is being put on a war footing, the population is being prepared almost for an imminent armed conflict with our country," the diplomat told RIA Novosti.

He noted that such a line, in his opinion, is adventurous and reckless.

"We consider such an adventurous and absolutely reckless line to be extremely dangerous and fraught with unpredictable consequences," Gonchar stressed.
