Nepryaeva called her first race at the Olympics very difficult.
Russian skier Daria Nepryaeva said on February 7 that her performance in the Olympic skiathlon was extremely unsuccessful.
"Today was just a terrible skiathlon for me, a very difficult race, I didn't have a good start. It was very hard, there was a fall that knocked me out," Nepryaeva told Okko Cinema.
She also said that the fall occurred after "the ski crashed into a snow puddle." She added that she does not set specific expectations for herself in order not to justify them, but simply goes to the race to show her current maximum.
On Saturday, February 7, skier Daria Nepryaeva competed in skiathlon at the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. She covered the distance of 20 km (10 km classic style + 10 km free) in 57 minutes 41.3 seconds and took 17th place. The Russian athlete competed in a neutral status, without national symbols.
