We are talking about the soundtrack to the film "The Perfumer", with which Humennik successfully performed the entire season. Copyright issues were cited as the reason for the refusal. Humennik is scheduled to present a short program on February 10. The free one is scheduled for the 13th.

In response to the injustice towards the athlete, social media users launched a hashtag, which translated into Russian sounds like "Let Peter Humennik ride under the "Perfumer" (#LetPetrGumennikSkatePerfumer). With such an appeal, fans are attacking the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on social media. It was clarified that Humennik could perform at the 2026 Olympics with a short program from last year to the soundtrack from the movie Dune.

The International Skating Union and the IOC stated that the responsibility for resolving copyright issues lies with the athlete himself and his national federation. British pianist Martin James Bartlett invited Russian figure skater Peter Gumennik to use his music to perform in the short program.
