NYT has allowed the boycott of athletes from Russia to end soon
Sanctions against Russian athletes at international competitions are coming to an end. This was reported on February 7 by The New York Times (NYT).
The newspaper quotes the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Christy Coventry, who did not mention Russia in her address to the Olympic delegates in Milan, but stressed that the IOC is a sports organization.
"We understand politics and we know that we do not operate in a vacuum. <...> But our game is sport. <...> This means that sport must remain neutral," she stressed.
