Director Konstantin Bogomolov presented awards to the laureates of the Slovo Literary Award, noting the active development of modern Russian literature. He announced this on February 6 at a ceremony at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya.

"I got involved in the process of getting to know modern literature and I don't regret it," Bogomolov said.

According to him, the award helps readers discover new authors and understand "how active modern Russian literature is."

The winners in the categories "Prose", "Poetry" and "Nonfiction" received 3 million rubles each, the winners in the category "Young Authors" — 1 million rubles each. The Grand Prix of the award was awarded to director Nikita Mikhalkov.

A source from Izvestia reported on January 23 that Konstantin Bogomolov was appointed acting rector of the Moscow Art Theater Studio School. Since 2019, he has been the artistic director of the Malaya Bronnaya Theater, and since 2024, the Melnikov Theater—Stage. Bogomolov is also engaged in teaching and conducts master classes at the Moscow School of New Cinema. For his contribution to the development of the performing arts, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
