In Egypt, four children were killed and two injured as a result of the collapse of a wall in a monastery in Minya. This was reported on February 6 by the newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

"Four children were killed and two injured as a result of the collapse of a wall at the Abu Fana monastery in Minya," the statement said.

In the published footage from the scene, you can see fragments of a brick wall standing in a deserted area.

Also in Cairo, on February 1, two shops completely fell through the ground due to subsidence to a depth of 15 m. A flower shop and a pastry shop have gone underground. As a result of the collapse, two people who were inside the premises were injured. They were hospitalized in New Cairo.
