The Prime Minister of Pakistan intends to arrive in Russia on March 3-4
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif may pay a state visit to Russia on March 3-4. This was stated to Izvestia by an informed source. However, according to him, the dates may still change.
The Embassy of the Republic in Moscow confirmed to Izvestia that the visit of the Pakistani leader will take place in March.
Meanwhile, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that it was too early to talk about this, answering a question from Izvestia about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin's talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan were scheduled for these dates.
"It's too early. We will inform you in a timely manner," the Kremlin's official representative said.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niyaz Tirmizi said on January 22 that Pakistan intends to conclude an agreement with Russia on the restoration and modernization of a steel mill in Karachi during Shahbaz Sharif's visit to Moscow. He noted that the Karachi steel mill was a gift from the Soviet Union to Pakistan and that the country wants to rebuild it and build a new one on the same territory, as it is important for the industrial development of Pakistan.
