The expert spoke about the rising cost of apartment repairs in Moscow in 2026

The cost of repairing a studio apartment in Moscow in 2026 averages about 70 thousand rubles per square meter on a turnkey basis, while prices have increased by about 10% over the year. Irina Mitrofanova, the head of the Interior-Line construction company, announced this on February 6 in a conversation with Izvestia.

According to her, the calculation is given for a typical apartment of about 40 square meters. m with a simple modern design and with the work of a full-service professional company.

"We can talk about 70 thousand for 1 square meter turnkey. This figure includes all work operations from preparatory to the fastening of the last chandelier and all construction rough materials, taking into account their delivery and unloading," Mitrofanova explained.

At the same time, the offers of private teams may vary significantly. The increase in cost, according to the expert, is related to general economic factors.

"The cost of repairs has definitely risen in 2026. The cost of performers' labor and materials has also increased by about 10% compared to 2025," Mitrofanova said.

The repair time remains the same and averages from three to five months, depending on the complexity of the project. According to the expert, a competent project and the rejection of excessively complex solutions can save money without loss of quality, which can reduce the budget by up to 35%.
