It is impractical to interfere in the situation around Greenland from the outside. This was announced on February 6 by Russian Ambassador to Copenhagen Vladimir Barbin.

According to the ambassador, the situation around Greenland is a matter for Denmark, the island and the United States, which are able to find a solution.

"What the agreements will be is their business, their competence. It is impractical to interfere in this process from the outside," Barbin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier in the day, Barbin also said that it was too early to talk about the consequences of the situation around Greenland for Russia's security. He clarified that for a substantive analysis of the possible military and political consequences for Russia, the crisis should be clarified. On February 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that Russia assumes that the tension around Greenland is not related to its activities.
