Bessent threatened Russia with a new large package of sanctions

The United States has prepared the largest package of sanctions against Russia. This was announced on February 5 by the head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent.

"We have ready the largest package of sanctions that has ever been applied against a major economy, and its introduction is directly linked to progress at the negotiating table," he was quoted as saying by the Reuters news agency.

According to him, these sanctions could allegedly put pressure on Russia during negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict.
