The Russian Ministry of Health has approved the minimum scores of the Unified State Exam (USE) required for admission to medical universities in the country in 2026. The relevant order was published on February 5 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

So, for the main areas of training, such as "Medical science", "Pediatrics" and "Dentistry", applicants will need to score at least 55 points in Russian, biology and chemistry.

A threshold of 50 points has been set for admission to the Medical Biochemistry program and similar areas at the Russian National Research Medical University named after N. I. Pirogov in a number of subjects, including Russian language and biology.

For admission to the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, minimum requirements for key subjects have also been defined, which form the basis for entrance exams in specialized medical fields.

The decision of the Ministry of Health is aimed at improving the quality of training for future doctors and ensuring professional selection standards for admission to medical educational institutions.

On January 14, the press service of the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation announced changes to the university admission rules for 2026. It was noted that the procedure for submitting documents, enrolling college graduates and the conditions for targeted admission have changed. For example, starting this year, applicants will have three ways to submit documents: through the Gosuslugi portal, in person at the university or by mail, but submission through universities' own systems will no longer be possible.
