In Chita, some districts were left without electricity due to an accident at a power plant.

In Chita, part of the city was left without electricity due to the operation of a protective device at the Thermal Power Plant – 1 (CHP-1). This was announced on the evening of February 4 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

"Information has been received <...> about an emergency power outage caused by the activation of a protective device at CHPP-1 in the city of Chita. According to preliminary data, the Kashtak and Severny neighborhoods in Chita, as well as the villages of Smolenka and Ugdan, were partially without electricity," the publication says.
