Medvedev commented on the future termination of the START Treaty
For the first time since 1972, there will be no treaty between Russia and the United States that would limit nuclear forces. This was announced on February 4 by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the social network X.
"That's it. For the first time since 1972, Russia (the former USSR) and the United States do not have a treaty limiting strategic nuclear forces," he said.
The politician also added an image with the phrase "Winter is coming" to the text message.
The Strategic Offensive Arms Reduction Treaty (START Treaty) will expire on February 5 this year.
