The United States has not responded to Russia's START Treaty proposal
The United States has not given an official response to Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for countries to voluntarily comply with the restrictions stipulated in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START Treaty) for at least a year after the termination of the agreement. This was reported on February 4 on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"However, no formalized official reaction from the United States to the Russian initiative has been received through bilateral channels. <...> In fact, we are talking about the fact that our ideas were deliberately left unanswered," the statement said.
