The court extended the arrest of a man accused of beating a child in Sheremetyevo
The Khimki Court of the Moscow region extended the arrest of Vladimir Vityukov, accused of beating a child at the capital's Sheremetyevo airport. This was reported on February 4 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The meeting was held behind closed doors. Teyub Sharifov, the lawyer of the injured party, said that the injured boy is feeling well, but he is still suffering from headaches. Also, during the debate between the parties, the prosecutor's office asked for a punishment in the form of compulsory medical treatment for Vityukov.
According to the lawyer, the defendant was declared insane by the results of the examination. During the flight, he also "behaved inappropriately: he got up from his seat, went into business class, poured water on his head, took off his glasses, and took out cigarettes."
"I'm on medication now and I'm aware of everything," the defendant said, speaking about his schizophrenia.
He also claims that he does not remember the incident itself. The victims filed a civil lawsuit today, and Vityukov agreed to pay it, but not in full. The defendant behaved adequately at the hearing and understood everything.
The incident with the child who was injured in Sheremetyevo occurred on June 23 in the arrivals area of the airport. It was reported that passenger Vladimir Vityukov, in a state of drug intoxication, grabbed a two-year-old child and, lifting him to the height of his height, violently threw him to the floor. Then law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on attempted murder. Later, on June 26, the man was arrested for two months. It was clarified that the man has two daughters, he was registered with a psychologist and had no previous criminal record.
