Putin instructed to consider studying Russian as a state language in universities
Russian Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions on the protection and development of the Russian language on February 3, in particular, he instructed to submit proposals for the study of the discipline "Russian as the state language" in universities.
"The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Implementation of state Policy in the field of support for the Russian language and the languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation, taking into account the previously given instructions, should submit proposals regarding the development and study of the discipline (module) in higher education institutions "Russian as the state language," says the list of instructions on the Kremlin's website.
In addition, the President instructed the Ministry of Education to develop special manuals on the Russian language for schoolchildren of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. It is noted that these benefits will be used in extracurricular activities.
The document also states an instruction according to which the quality of education of primary school teachers in Russia will be improved with the participation of the Moscow Pedagogical State University. It is specified that the number of hours allocated in the discipline "Russian language" will be increased in pedagogical universities.
On January 12, communications expert Seda Kasparova said that the Russian language is losing its expressiveness due to the abundance of parasitic words, jargonisms and borrowings, which are increasingly being used inappropriately and automatically. According to the expert, the excessive use of youth slang and borrowed words such as "bounce", "vibe", "tilt", "crash", "roll", in business and even everyday communication creates the impression of frivolity and prevents accurately convey emotions.
