Iceberg discovered in the Black Sea off the coast of Crimea
A drifting ice accumulation has been discovered in the Black Sea off the northwestern coast of Crimea. This was reported on February 4 in the press service of the joint directorate of specially protected natural territories "Reserved Crimea".
"Satellite images have revealed a rare phenomenon for our time in the waters of the Maloe Phyllophoric Field State Nature Reserve — an extensive ice field pressed against the Bakal Spit," reads a message posted on the organization's page on the VKontakte social network.
The press service also clarified that these are not icebergs that broke off from glaciers, but another natural phenomenon.
