What is known about the crime

Aigul Sailybayeva, who previously worked as a judge in Kazakhstan, was killed in Germany in 2024. Her body with more than 30 stab wounds and traces of chemical burns on her face was found in a lake in the city of Beinsheim, the investigation materials reported.

According to German law enforcement authorities, a criminal case was opened shortly after the discovery of the body. The main suspect was Natalia Dontsova, the mother-in-law of the deceased, who left the country and was put on the international wanted list through Interpol.

How events unfolded after the murder

Shortly after Sailybayeva's death, her husband Alexander Dontsov obtained the citizenship of their young daughter. After that, he took the child to Russia, it follows from the materials at the disposal of Izvestia.

In addition, the relatives of the deceased appealed to the Russian law enforcement agencies with a request to help bring the suspects to justice. Dontsov, in turn, denies involvement in the crime and claims that he was slandered by journalists, while refusing to comment further.

What actions are being taken in Russia

According to the latest information, on February 2, Natalia Dontsova and her son were taken to the Investigative Committee of Russia for questioning. During the investigative actions, the woman used the right not to testify against herself.

In addition, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed Dmitry Belyaev, head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for Moscow, to submit a report on the progress of the procedural audit.

"The execution of the order has been put under control at the central office of the department," the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.
