Vance called on ex-Prince Andrew to answer to the US Congress for his ties to Epstein
US Vice President Jay Dee Vance called on King Charles III's brother, former British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to testify before the US Congress against the background of his ties and friendship with financier Jeffrey Epstein. This was reported by the Daily Mail on February 3.
"Vance increased pressure on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before US lawmakers about his friendship with Epstein," the article says.
In addition, Vance also stated that he would support bipartisan efforts to summon him to testify. He expressed the opinion that the final decision regarding the ex-prince will be made by the Republicans, who know better what information Andrew can provide to assist in the investigation.
At the same time, Vance clarified that the materials published by the Ministry of Justice showed that "the American elite has a rather incestuous nature."
The ex-prince, who was stripped of his titles in connection with the Epstein case, moved from Windsor Castle to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. As reported on February 3, this location is temporary — after the renovation, Andrew will live at Marsh Farm.
Sky News TV channel, citing a statement by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on January 31, reported that Andrew was obliged to testify in the US Congress in the case of the American financier. He clarified that victims should be a priority.
Last December, it became known that ex-Prince Andrew had used Sandringham, one of Queen Elizabeth II's favorite estates, for at least one meeting with Epstein's convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. At the same time, Andrew hosted women in Sandringham who were considered his mistresses, as part of contacts related to Epstein and his inner circle.
Epstein's files began to be published on December 20 last year, after US President Donald Trump signed a bill on their release on November 19 of the same year.
