Rybalchenko said about the dangers of adult children living together with their parents

Living together with adult children with their parents can negatively affect the demographic situation in Russia. This was announced on February 4 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission on Demography of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

"Unfortunately, one of the demographic problems is that children stay with their parents after they reach adulthood," Rybalchenko said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the lack of timely separation often hinders the creation of a family.

"Young people can live with their parents, date indefinitely, but never mature enough to create their own family. Independent life has a serious impact on human development in general, on his self-determination, on the fact that he still relies on his own strength," he stressed.

On January 17, Sergey Rybalchenko advocated for expanding housing affordability for young people through a phased real estate purchase mechanism. This approach, in his opinion, will allow children to provide their own housing by the time they reach adulthood and reduce dependence on their parents.
