A teenager was sentenced for the murder of a pensioner in Nizhneudinsk

In the city of Nizhneudinsk, Irkutsk region, a court sentenced a 16-year-old teenager who attacked two pensioners with a knife, killing one of them. This is reported by the regional SU IC of Russia and the prosecutor's office.

The murder occurred in July 2025 in the city of Alzamai. It was established that the teenager had a conflict with two elderly men, in whose company he was drinking alcohol. The boy stabbed his opponents, as a result of which one of the pensioners died, and the second was seriously injured.

The court found the 16-year-old defendant guilty under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Murder" and paragraph "h" of Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Intentional infliction of serious harm to health using an object used as a weapon." The teenager was sentenced to eight years in prison to be served in an educational colony.

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, with reference to the regional prosecutor's office, the teenager had previously been convicted of stealing other people's property.

In January, a 19-year-old resident of Kemerovo was detained in the Moscow region, who inflicted fatal stab wounds on another young man during a fight. According to Izvestia, he stood up for the girls on the bus, after which all the conflicting parties got out at the bus stop and started fighting. At some point, the young man pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the offenders several times. Despite the help provided in the hospital, the victim died.
