Ksenia Shoigu heads the Mendeleev Valley Foundation
Ksenia Shoigu has been appointed Director General of the Mendeleev Valley Innovative Science and Technology Center Development Fund. This is stated in the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the official portal of legal acts.
"To coordinate the appointment of Ksenia Sergeevna Shoigu to the position of General Director of the Mendeleev Valley Innovative Scientific and Technological Center Development Fund and the dismissal of Alexander Vladimirovich Maslennikov from this position," the document says.
The organization will serve as a project office for the creation of a cluster of deep processing of non-ferrous, rare and rare earth metals in the Angara-Yenisei region. This is an integrated technological industrial project of a new type, aimed at achieving Russia's technological sovereignty and strengthening the country's national security by creating a complex of industrial, research, educational, social and support infrastructure, developing scientific, technical and human resources.
The cluster is being created under the leadership of the Russian government to fulfill the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The functions of the curator and coordinator of the project are performed by the staff of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
In her new position, Ksenia Shoigu will work in three key areas: strategic planning and operational support, attracting investors and providing government support measures, coordinating and integrating participants, monitoring the implementation of stages, reporting and ensuring transparency of the project.
"The key task of the Foundation is to bring together and synchronize all participants in this large system, build clear rules of interaction and create a management framework that forms mutually beneficial solutions and points of joint growth, combining the interests of the state, business and the public. The key to success should be comfortable and understandable conditions for all, ensuring the attractiveness of the project as a place of work for young and experienced professionals, a modern environment for the development of talents, long-term investment potential and the willingness of investors to enter into projects. This approach will become the basis for turning the strategic plan into a real development of the territories and the country as a whole," said Ksenia Shoigu.
