Czech Republic restricts movement of diplomats from Russia
The Czech Foreign Ministry has notified the Russian Embassy that the country is imposing travel restrictions on Russian diplomats. This was reported to Izvestia on February 3 at the Russian Embassy in Prague.
"On January 23, the Russian Embassy received a note from the Czech Foreign Ministry explaining the new order of movement in the country within the framework of the country-wide restrictions. It concerns employees of Russian diplomatic missions who are not accredited in the Czech Republic," the Russian diplomatic mission said.
On January 26, the Netherlands also informed the Russian Embassy about new restrictions on the movement of Russian diplomats across the EU. It is clarified that the Russian Embassy in The Hague stated that it regards the actions of the European authorities as part of a consistent strategy of exerting pressure and selective application of legal norms.
