Recently published in the United States files from the criminal case against Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of pimping and sex trafficking, revealed new details from the lives of world celebrities. Izvestia looked into what was happening at the "wild parties," as Elon Musk called them.

More documents have arrived

Documents published by the US Department of Justice have exposed Jeffrey Epstein's connections with political leaders, members of royal families, diplomats and other elite representatives around the world.

According to the transparency Law, the released documents include over 2,000 videos and 180,000 photographs. The US authorities have released the names of 43 victims of sexual violence, over 20 of whom were minors at the time of the crimes.

Almost all famous world leaders and celebrities appear in 3 million different documents: former US Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, current head of state Donald Trump, French leader Emmanuel Macron, son of Queen Elizabeth II, former British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Bill Gates, actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, showman David Copperfield and many others.

According to the documents, all of them were somehow connected with the tycoon Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and committed suicide in prison in 2019.

The publications say that he had his own island, which was regularly visited by famous people. At the same time, the way they spent their leisure time there shocked the world media.

At parties, as the documents say, influential people had sex with minors. The disclosed archives also reveal the involvement of a number of politicians in rape and Satanic rituals.

The events were recorded on video in order to be used for blackmail later.

The scandal also affected the mother of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, director Mira Nair. She actively communicated with Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who recruited minors, and visited her mansion. As a result, suggestions began to appear on social networks about possible family ties between Epstein and the mayor of the Big Apple.

He's so sweet and soft-hearted.

The documents revealed e-mail correspondence between Epstein and banker Ariane de Rothschild about how Hitler lived in an orphanage funded by three wealthy Jewish families, including the Gutmanns, Epsteins and Rothschilds. Ariana considered this information a "conspiracy theory" and "pathetic," and her interlocutor replied that it was true.

In addition, the Rothschilds had a business relationship with Epstein. Through his company Southern Trust Company Inc., the tycoon signed an agreement with the Rothschild group in the amount of $25 million. It provided for the provision of risk analysis and algorithmic data processing services. At the same time, the agreement was concluded years after Epstein pleaded guilty to sexual crimes in Florida in 2008.

French President Emmanuel Macron, as reported in the published files, turned to Epstein for help on management issues. And former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, as it turned out, repeatedly stayed in Epstein's New York apartment.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway also turned out to be a close friend of the tycoon. She was in active correspondence with him. Epstein and the royal met in 2011. In one of the messages, she said that he "excites her imagination." The princess called the entrepreneur himself, who by that time had already pleaded guilty to involving a minor in prostitution, "so sweet" and "soft-hearted."

Subsequently, Mette-Marit said that she acted recklessly and deeply regrets that she had any contact with Epstein at all. According to a representative of the ruling Norwegian dynasty, she "did not realize quickly enough what kind of person he was."

Meanwhile, on February 3, the kingdom will launch the trial of Crown Princess Marius Borg Heibi's son, who has been charged with 32 counts, including four rapes.

Princess Sofia of Sweden and King Frederik of Denmark were also associated with Epstein, attending his private events in New York.

Much is still classified.

The publication of the documents has already had consequences for some high-ranking officials. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has invited King Charles III's brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who used to be Prince Andrew, to testify before the US Congress about his ties to Epstein.

New files show that the king's brother was in constant contact with Epstein for more than two years after he was found guilty of sexual crimes against minors. The documents also include pictures of Andrew on his knees, bending over a woman lying on the floor and touching her waist.

Former British Ambassador to the United States Peter Mandelson left the Labor Party after the publication revealed that Epstein had transferred $25,000 each to accounts linked to the diplomat three times.

Miroslav Lajcak, the former head of the Slovak Foreign Ministry, ex-adviser to Prime Minister Robert Fico, also resigned after his name appeared in the documents.

It is difficult to say whether this publication of documents on the Epstein case was the last. According to U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, the current files "mark the end of a very comprehensive identification and document verification process," signaling that the work is done for the U.S. Department of Justice.

At the same time, Democrats continue to accuse the ministry of hiding too many documents — about 2.5 million out of 6 million. According to Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna, "it raises big questions why they are still classified."
