Almost 11 thousand cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the Irkutsk region

Over the past week, almost 11 thousand residents of the Irkutsk region have contracted acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). The incidence rate has increased in all age groups.

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, laboratory tests have shown the circulation of influenza A, parainfluenza, rhinoviruses, bocaviruses and other infections. The flu was confirmed in 52 people.

Residents of the region are asked to follow preventive measures, including wearing a mask in public places, washing their hands, cleaning and ventilating the premises.

Last week, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections decreased by 30% in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Doctors attributed the positive dynamics to the steady frosts.
