The fortune of Russia's richest businessmen increased by $19.392 billion in January 2026. This is stated on February 2 in the rating of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).

It is noted that the president of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, has earned $3.46 billion since the beginning of the year, which increased his fortune to $29.9 billion. In turn, the fortune of Andrey Melnichenko, co-founder of Eurochem and SUEK, increased by $2.83 billion, reaching $21.8 billion.

Leonid Mikhelson, the head of Novatek, also earned $1.93 billion in January 2026, which led to an increase in his fortune to $25.6 billion. At the same time, Vagit Alekperov, the founder of the Lukoil oil company, also saw an increase of $ 1.55 billion, increasing his fortune to $24.1 billion.

However, the biggest losses were incurred by Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, whose fortune decreased by $786 million to $13.6 billion.

In early January, it was noted that the fortune of Russia's richest businessmen increased by $18.37 billion in 2025. Then Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov was able to earn $6.04 billion over the past year, as a result, his fortune is estimated at $19.3 billion, and the fortune of the founder of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) Iskander Makhmudov increased by $4.75 billion, reaching $7.88 billion.
