The calculation of the 240-millimeter self-propelled mortar 2C4 "Tulip" of the Center group of forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed the calculation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on February 2 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"We received the task to destroy the detected enemy UAV crew, which was located in a multi-storey building. We were safely hit by the first mine directly into the building, and the building collapsed completely," said a senior battery officer with the call sign Rybak.

The ministry said that artillery units perform combat missions based on intelligence data. After receiving the coordinates of enemy targets, the crews quickly move to pre-prepared firing positions, deploy guns and open aimed fire.

It is specified that the control of the destruction of objects and the correction of fire are carried out by the operators of the troops of unmanned systems (UAVs) in real time. According to the ministry, thanks to operational control personnel, it is possible to confirm the elimination of enemy concrete structures, including underground shelters of Ukrainian formations, where personnel are stationed.

"Gun 2C4, self-propelled mortar "Tulip". He disassembles fortifications, that is, basements, high-rise buildings, and stacks them up with a bang. We are already adjusting the mine taking into account the weather conditions. And so, in general, well, it has a range of 19.5 km," explained the senior gunner, Corporal Artur Druzhin.

On February 1, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that artillery crews of the D-30 guns of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds in the Zaporizhia region. According to the ministry, calculations of reconnaissance UAVs of the BPS troops found firing points and shelters of Ukrainian militants in the forest area, which they used to monitor the approaches to the settlement. The coordinates of the enemy targets were promptly transferred to the calculations of the D-30 guns.
