Russian national football team midfielder Denis Cheryshev has joined the Cyprus club Krasava. The duration of the contract with the player was not disclosed. He will be playing at number 90 on the field. This was announced on February 1 by the team's press service.

"Exhale, one of the main characters of the 2018 World Cup as part of the Russian national team is now officially in Krasava!" they wrote on the club's Telegram channel.

The club creatively presented the most stellar newcomer in its history with a GTA style video.

Cheryshev, 35, last played for Greek Panionios in the 2024-2025 season. He previously played for Italian side Venice, Real Madrid (with whom he won the Champions League), Sevilla (winning the Europa League), Villarreal and Valencia (Spanish Cup winner).

As a member of the Russian national team, the midfielder played 33 matches, scored 12 goals and reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 home World Cup.

The Krasava Football Club was founded in 2021 by former Russian national team player and blogger Evgeny Savin.

On January 24, Russian forward Bogdan Trineev extended his contract with the Washington Capitals hockey club of the National Hockey League (NHL). It was noted that the term of the agreement is limited to two years.
