A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. As a result of active actions, units of the North group of forces liberated the village of Zelenoe in the Kharkiv region. Formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions were also defeated. The enemy lost over 130 people, nine vehicles, a counter-battery radar station, an ammunition depot and two material depots.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front line and defeated the enemy in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 150 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle and ten vehicles. Six ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops improved the tactical situation and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the DPR settlements. The Ukrainian formations lost up to 125 militants, a tank, three armored fighting vehicles, 27 vehicles and two field artillery pieces. Two electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots and two material depots were destroyed.

As a result of decisive actions, the military personnel of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Sukhetskoye in the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region were defeated. The enemy lost over 375 people, five armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, three artillery pieces and a counter-battery radar station.

Units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated Ukrainian formations in the areas of settlements in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 275 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles and a Western-made field artillery piece. An ammunition depot was destroyed.

The Dnepr group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov, Balabino and Magdalinovka, Zaporizhia region. Up to 30 militants, 11 vehicles, three electronic warfare stations and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 158 areas.

Four guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and 94 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

This creates problems for the enemy's FPV drones and increases the effectiveness of offensive actions.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 111775 unmanned aerial vehicles, 646 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27437 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1653 multiple rocket launchers, 32985 field artillery guns and mortars, 53405 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
