New evidence has been presented in China of the crimes of the Japanese "detachment 731", which conducted experiments on people during World War II. This was reported by the Xinhua News Agency on February 1.

"On Saturday (January 31. A 47-minute archival video with the testimony of Hideo Sato, who was a member of the bubonic plague research unit of the 731 Squad, was shown in the exhibition hall of the Museum of Evidence of Crimes of the 731 Squad.

In the video, the Japanese confessed that the unit had carried out operations on plague-infected animals and found out the necessary lethal dose to "turn the plague into a weapon." He also said that the members of the detachment conducted experiments on humans and were engaged in animal vivisection.

"At least 3,000 people were used by the 731 Squad for human experiments, and more than 300,000 people in China were killed by Japanese biological weapons," the agency noted.

On November 18, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, said that Japan was unable to comprehend its aggression during World War II, and that such a country simply had no right to apply for permanent membership in the UN Security Council. He made this statement after the words of the Japanese Prime Minister about the possible deployment of troops to Taiwan in the event of a conflict.
