On February 1, US President Donald Trump announced that he was considering filing a lawsuit against American publicist Michael Wolfe on suspicion of political collusion with financier Jeffrey Epstein.

"You know, this radical leftist, this Wolf, who was a third-rate writer, conspired with Jeffrey Epstein to harm me politically or otherwise, and it became absolutely clear. Therefore, we will probably sue Wolfe about this," Trump told reporters.

On January 31, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that he had accepted the resignation of his closest adviser, former Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak, due to the mention of his name in the Epstein case files. In November 2025, Euractiv reported that the name of the former Slovak Foreign Minister was found in the documents on the Epstein case.

Sky News TV channel, citing a statement by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on January 31, reported that the brother of King Charles III, ex-Prince Andrew, is obliged to testify in the US Congress in the case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein. He noted that victims should be a priority.
