Igor Sosunov, deputy head of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, was arrested in Moscow.

The deputy head of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute on Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOChS) was detained in Moscow Igor Sosunov and Nikolai Posokhov, head of the Scientific Research Center for Improving Protective Measures at the same Institute, due to suspicions of receiving large‑scale bribes. This was reported by TASS on January 31.

"To choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Sosunov. In relation to Posokhov, choose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest," the documents say.
