Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina became the winner of the Australian Open (Australian Open – 2026). In the final match of the tournament, she beat the representative of Belarus Arina Sobolenko.

The match lasted 2 hours and 18 minutes and ended in three sets with the score 6:4, 4:6, 6:4 in favor of Rybakina. Sobolenko completed five straight serves during the match, made two double faults and made two break points out of eight. Rybakina also made five aces, made three double faults and was able to make three break points out of six.

For Rybakina, this victory was the second in the Grand Slam tournaments. She previously won Wimbledon in 2022, and also reached the final of the Australian Open in 2023. The Kazakhstani tennis player is a former world number three, winner of the Final WTA — 2025 singles Tournament and winner of 11 WTA titles.

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won the semi–finals of the Australian Open (Australian Open - 2026) on January 30, beating Italian and winner of the last two draws of the tournament Yannick Sinner. The match ended with a score 3:6, 6:3, 4:6, 6:4, 6:4.
