Calculation of the self-propelled gun "Gvozdika" destroyed the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

The calculation of the self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S1 "Gvozdika" of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), camouflaged in the forest belts of the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on January 31 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Operators of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have identified enemy positions during their movement. The coordinates were immediately transferred to the artillery calculations of the Gvozdika self-propelled guns. With the first volleys, the ACS calculation successfully hit the enemy's engineering structures. Subsequent strikes resulted in the destruction of shelters and personnel.

The effective actions of the Vostok group's gunners significantly weakened the defensive capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this sector of the front, thereby providing conditions for the advance of assault units.

On January 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an artillery crew of the 152-millimeter towed 2A36 Hyacinth-B cannon of the 120th Guards Artillery brigade of the Center group of forces destroyed an artillery piece of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with enemy manpower in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO) during a counter-battery battle. It was clarified that the target was hit from a distance of over 20 km.
