The Investigative Committee opened a case on the fact of a fatal accident with an ambulance in the Kama region

A criminal case has been opened in the Perm Region over an accident involving an ambulance, which resulted in the death of four people. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The accident occurred on Friday afternoon, January 30, on the Karagai–Kudymkar highway. According to preliminary data from the traffic police, a Lada Largus ambulance carrying four patients drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a foreign passenger car.

As a result of the collision, three passengers and the Lada driver died on the spot. Another patient and the driver of the second car were hospitalized with injuries.

A criminal case has been opened into the accident under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements and inadvertently result in the death of two or more persons."

The Minister of Health of the region, Anastasia Kruten, said that the car of the Karagai CRH was returning with four patients after hemodialysis from Kudymkar to Karagai when it was involved in an accident. The injured patient is in a serious, stable condition, according to the <url> news agency. The condition of the driver of the foreign car is assessed as moderate severity.
