The weather forecaster warned of a cold front in Moscow
Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, warned that frosts would increase in Moscow after the end of the snowfall.
In conversation with aif.ru On Friday, January 30, the expert noted that heavy snowfalls in the capital and the Moscow region will end on January 30. According to him, mostly dry weather is expected in the region on Friday, and on Saturday there may be clearings and sunshine. At the same time, the temperature will begin to decrease: the atmospheric front will shift to the south, and cold Arctic air will enter from the north. At night, the thermometer will drop to -18...-23 degrees, in some places — up to -26 degrees, in the daytime — up to -20 degrees. Such frosty weather will continue at least until Monday, and the beginning of February, according to the expert, will also be cold.
He clarified that the snowfall-free pause would not last long. According to the forecast, a return of snow is possible on Sunday — from light to moderate, and light precipitation is also expected at the beginning of next week.
Earlier that day, an "orange" weather hazard level was declared in Moscow and the Moscow region from Friday, January 30 to Tuesday, February 3 due to abnormal cold. The weather in the region is abnormally cold with an average daily air temperature of 7-12 degrees below the climatic norm.
