The staff of the St. Petersburg metro appeals to passengers to show their mobile phone screen for safety reasons. This was announced on January 29 by the Vice-governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov.

"The metro, like any other object of transport infrastructure, is an object of transport security. The same as airports and train stations. Therefore, today we are applying increased security measures," he said during a direct line.
