Analysts have named car brands that are losing dealers
In 2025, Kaiyi, FAW and JAC brands lost the most dealer contracts, while the total number of dealers in the Russian Federation increased by 6%. This was reported on January 29 by the analytical agency Autostat.
Kaiyi's number of dealer contracts decreased by 39, FAW's by 37, JAC's by 36, BAIC's by 27, Livan's by 24, Exeed's by 22, Dongfeng's by 19, Jaecoo's by 13, Omoda's by 12, Jetour's by at 11, at Moskvich — at six.
Experts note that over the year, the number of dealer contracts in the Russian Federation increased by 267 units or 6.2% (in January 2025, there were 4,302 of them). At the same time, their growth is due to the fact that 1,130 new contracts were signed and 863 terminated during the year.
New dealer networks of the brands Tenet (219 contracts), Knewstar (212), KGM (57), Li Auto (35), Rox (29), Avatr (24), Amberauto (12) have appeared. Dealer networks of such brands as Haval (+38 contracts per year), Belgee (+22), Voyah (+13), Geely (+12), Hongqi (+12), Lada (+6) continue to actively develop.
As of mid-January 2026, there were 4,569 dealer contracts for the sale and maintenance of passenger cars in our country. Of this number, 4,077 contracts were concluded with authorized dealers. The remaining almost 492 contracts relate to dealers who use the services of alternative car suppliers, but at the same time have an official status.
Andrey Kogan, Chairman of the Committee for work with China at the Association of Exporters and Importers, said on January 23 that a massive withdrawal of Chinese car brands from Russia, as in the case of Western ones, looks unlikely. For companies like Chery, Geely or Great Wall, the Russian market is not a temporary experiment, it has a steady demand and a clear logic of scaling.
