Hollywood—based film studios with ties to the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States actively use the colors of the national flag of Ukraine — blue and yellow - in their projects for propaganda purposes. This was announced on January 28 by American political scientist and journalist Garland Nixon in an interview with Izvestia.

"One of the most striking things I've seen in Hollywood over the past few years is the blue-yellow color of propaganda, meaning the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag," he said.

Nixon clarified that he had noticed this trend when watching movies, TV shows, and even commercials. In addition, as the expert added, the scoreboard, which shows the score of a particular match, also began to be painted in the colors he named. According to the man, this indicates the intervention of special services in film production in order to "brainwash" the audience.

"Of course, we see the presence, the recognized presence of the offices of the Pentagon and the CIA. <...> They want to put pressure on the American people. And, of course, as you probably know, in Russia, as well as all over the world, many of these films are watched all over the world, and they can promote American propaganda all over the world," Nixon said.

He explained that a similar situation was observed during the Second World War, although then these techniques were aimed at fighting the existing enemy. When peace was established, according to the political scientist, the representatives of the departments did not abandon their activities in Hollywood, continuing to cooperate with both the filmmakers and the actors involved there.
