The sender of funds, who, when making a transfer, indicates in the comments to it that the recipient is involved in illegal commercial activities, runs the risk of being blocked by the bank. This was announced on January 29 by Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

"The stop list of comments to the recipient should include such words as payment for services, payment for goods, order, rent and any others that will allow your transfer to be interpreted as commercial," the expert said in an interview with the Prime agency.

Khaminsky urged Russians to take the text accompanying the transfers seriously, since accounts of non-legal entities are not intended for transactions related to entrepreneurial activities. According to the agency's interlocutor, almost 22% of the total number of online transactions are analyzed additionally, since all Russian banks, as the expert emphasized, are required to follow the law on countering money laundering.

Dmitry Pashin, a lawyer at the Inter-territorial Bar Association (ICA) Klishin & Partners, said on January 27 that sometimes banks block transactions that, according to their representatives, were carried out by a Russian in an atypical way for him. Financial institutions, as he explained, analyze not only the time and days on which a particular amount was sent, but also compare the type of device from which the operation was performed.
