In Russia, they proposed to simplify the procedure for approving changes in the design of cars, and deputies of the New People faction sent a letter with details about the initiative to Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev. This was reported by TASS on January 28.

According to the authors of the idea, car owners who want to legally make changes to the design of cars are faced with a complex and multi-step registration procedure. As a result, many citizens refuse to officially register tuning due to bureaucratic difficulties, long deadlines and high cost.

In particular, the deputies propose to review and optimize the stages of registration of changes themselves, eliminating the need to coordinate cosmetic changes that do not affect safety, transferring the specified procedure to a notification procedure.

This will reduce the burden on traffic police officers, reduce the gray tuning market and have a positive impact on the quality of work and road safety, the parliamentarians believe.

In January, Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov said that car tuning in Russia should be legalized, provided that such improvements to the car do not affect road safety.

Prior to that, on January 19, it became known that a bill was submitted to the State Duma, which proposes to tighten administrative responsibility for installing external lighting devices and light sources on cars and operating them, including LED lamps when installed improperly, which blind and create other obstacles for drivers of oncoming and passing vehicles.
